SSGC Bill — Check & Print Duplicate Bill
SSGC delivers natural gas across Sindh and Balochistan. You can fetch, print and pay your SSGC bill using your consumer number — no login needed.
How to check your SSGC bill online in 60 seconds
- Grab any past SSGC paper bill. Look at the top-left panel for a field labelled Consumer No. — it's usually 10-14 digits.
- Paste that number into the search box above. Our tool auto-strips spaces and dashes.
- Press Check bill. A new tab opens on the official SSGC portal (
ssgc.com.pk) with your current month's bill loaded. - Use Print → Save as PDF to keep a copy. The printout is a valid legal bill accepted at every Pakistani bank, JazzCash, Easypaisa and utility store.
- Pay at any bank, ATM, JazzCash, Easypaisa or through your bank's mobile app using the same consumer number under Utility Bills → Gas → SSGC.
Where to find your SSGC consumer number
- Any past bill — printed at the top under "Consumer No" (10-14 digits, no dashes).
- SSGC helpline 1199 — call from any phone with CNIC and connection address ready.
- Nearest SSGC Customer Service Centre — bring CNIC + property document; they print a bill on the spot.
- Ask the previous tenant / landlord — the consumer number belongs to the meter, not to any person.
Reading your SSGC bill line by line
SSGC bills mirror the SNGPL format because both are regulated by OGRA under the same tariff framework. Here's what each section means:
- Consumer particulars — name, address, tariff category (Domestic / Commercial / Industrial / Special Commercial / CNG / Ice Factory).
- Meter reading & consumption — Previous Reading, Current Reading, cubic-meter units, converted to MMBtu using calorific value.
- Slab charges — inclining-block; every extra MMBtu above a threshold jumps to a higher rate. Domestic slabs run from ~Rs. 300/MMBtu (protected) to Rs. 4,200+/MMBtu at the top slab.
- Fixed & pass-through charges — Meter Rent, Fixed Monthly Charge, Gas Infrastructure Development Cess (GIDC) when notified.
- Taxes — 18% GST on the total; Federal Excise Duty on commercial / industrial connections.
- Payable within / after due date — miss the due date and a ~10% Late Payment Surcharge kicks in.
Protected vs unprotected SSGC consumers
Like SNGPL, SSGC classifies domestic consumers as Protected (used ≤ 0.9 MMBtu/month across the previous six months) or Unprotected. Protected consumers pay dramatically lower per-MMBtu rates. A single high-consumption month — usually caused by running a gas heater or geyser — can reclassify you as unprotected for the whole year retroactively.
Household guidance in Karachi and interior Sindh: avoid gas heaters entirely on domestic connections. An electric heater's electricity cost, even at unprotected electricity rates, is almost always less than the annual gas-tariff reclassification penalty.
Every way to pay your SSGC bill
- JazzCash → Bill Payments → Gas → SSGC → enter consumer number.
- Easypaisa → Pay Bill → Gas → SSGC → same flow.
- Any 1LINK bank app — HBL, Meezan, UBL, MCB, Alfalah, Askari, ABL, Bank Al Habib, Faysal and more. Look under Utility Bills → Gas.
- Over the counter at NBP, HBL, UBL, MCB, Bank Alfalah, ABL and other authorised branches with the printed bill.
- ATM — most bank ATMs support utility bill payments; select Bill Payment → Gas.
- Auto-debit — standing instruction through your bank so SSGC is paid on the due date every month.
Common SSGC billing issues
- Bill dramatically higher than usual — verify the current reading against your actual meter. Estimated readings are common in areas where meter readers can't access the meter. File a complaint on 1199 with dated meter photos if the reading is wrong.
- Wrong tariff category — if a domestic connection is being billed as commercial, submit an application at any SSGC Customer Service Centre with CNIC and the wrongly-billed bill. Correction takes 1-2 cycles.
- Gas leakage suspected — call 1199 immediately. Do not pay the bill while a leakage investigation is open; SSGC adjusts for wastage.
- Disconnected despite payment — reconnection charge is Rs. 500 for domestic. Take the payment receipt to the Customer Service Centre; reconnection within 24 hours.
About Sui Southern Gas Company
Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC) is Pakistan's second-largest natural gas distribution utility, serving over 3.2 million consumers across Sindh and Balochistan. Incorporated in 1989 and listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange, SSGC operates a transmission network of over 4,200 km of high-pressure pipelines and a distribution network exceeding 47,000 km.
SSGC's tariff structure mirrors SNGPL because both are regulated by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) under a common framework. Slab boundaries, protected-consumer criteria, GIDC and GST all match. The main difference is the customer-service network — SSGC has Customer Service Centres in every district of Sindh and major towns in Balochistan; SNGPL covers the rest of the country.
