FESCO reference number
14 digits at the top of every FESCO bill. Save it — same number works for JazzCash, Easypaisa, every bank app, this site, and FESCO's own portal. It doesn't change as long as the connection stays in your name.

Wrong bill? File in order
Follow this exact sequence — escalating out of order wastes weeks:
1. Fetch and print from our [FESCO checker](/fesco). Read against our [MEPCO bill explainer](/blog/how-to-read-your-mepco-bill) (the layout is identical across all DISCOs). 2. Call 118. Note the ticket number. 3. Visit your local FESCO Customer Service Centre with the printed bill and ticket number. Written application, dated receipt. 4. NEPRA at nepra.org.pk if unresolved after 15 working days.
Keep copies of everything you submit. Escalation without paperwork is escalation without teeth.
Common FESCO issues
Winter slab jumps. Faisalabad's fog and winter heaters push many households over 200 units in December–February, losing protected status. Recovery takes 6 straight months back under 200.
Textile / commercial misclassification. Homes doubling as small workshops sometimes get tagged A-2 commercial. Apply for correction with proof of residential use.
Meter tampering allegations. More common in rural feeders. Never accept a detection bill without demanding the audit report in writing.
Load-shedding. Rural feeders with higher losses get longer shedding than urban low-loss feeders. Published schedule on fesco.com.pk.
